Our tips for enjoying this coffee:
We recommend this coffee for "gentle" extraction methods such as Pour Over, French press, Chemex, and similar techniques. Its delicate roast ensures a subtle and refined extraction with these methods.
While it can also be enjoyed using espresso, Turkish, or Moka pot methods, we generally suggest opting for one of our 1936 coffees for a more stable and balanced experience with these preparations.
You can enjoy it daily in our coffee shops, brewed with Kalita and Chemex
About this selection:
Discover exclusively, for the second consecutive year, our Crazy Coffee lot, a coffee sourced from our Brazilian partners at the Jaguara group, with whom we have been collaborating for three years for our "1936" selection.
This year, this ultra-limited lot of only three bags comes from the Jaguara farm located in São João Del Rey, at an altitude of 1040 meters. It features the Guará variety, which originates from selections made in the Cerrado region, derived from Catucaí Vermelho, a natural hybrid between Icatu and Catuaí.
The Guará variety stands out for its resistance to leaf rust, natural vigor, and smoothness in the cup. Its red fruits, of remarkable size, offer uniform and consistent ripening.
The cherries were fermented for 80 hours in a barrel immediately after harvest, then sun-dried on African beds. Once dried, the beans were kept in wooden boxes for three weeks before being stored in specially designed bags to preserve their quality.
We recommend this coffee for all brewing methods, from espresso to French press. Its notes of cherry, rum, and dark chocolate are sure to captivate you.
